Most files in this game can be edited using a simple text editor,
such as "Notepad". In this file, you will find files that have already
been edited as such.
The first one is Super Kit
For starters KITT, all though not invincible, can take a lot more damage.
He can now go about 140MPH in Cruise Mode rather than 125MPH. In Super
Pursuit Mode, or SPM, he can go 220MPH rather than 200MPH. In Ski Mode he
can stay up on two wheels twice as long as before and can switch to the other
two wheels as soon as he lands on all 4 tires again. He is now easier to
handle at high speeds, which you need since he can now go 220MPH. I did
not edit Turbo Boost, as it would probably do more harm than good on a lot
of these levels that require jumping from platform to platform.
The Next Mod is the Super Pursuit Mode (SPM)
Now in every level of the game you can access SPM. I felt like it kind
of sucked that you did not get SPM until later in the game and it was
really just of use in one level. Also with this MOD you have Turbo Boost,
Ski Mode and SPM at the first training level.
With the third MOD time is certainly on your side. Though you don't have
infinite time, you have way more than you need to complete the missions.
The fourth is the same as the third, except it increases allowed following
distance on the pursuit levels.
Here are the instructions to install these MODS.
****Always create a back up before changing or replacing files****
In the Game directory you will see sub folders marked "Data" go to that
folder. All MOD instructions start in this directory
For the first MOD go to the "Vehicle" directory and over write
the files into that directory.
The second MOD the files go into the MissionScripts directory.
The third and fourth MOD files go into the "Common" directory.
