Interplay Star Trek: Starfleet Command
No CD-ROM Patch:
Starfleet Command will only play multiplayer missions/games without the
original CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive used during installation of the game
even if you perform a "Full Installation."
Before you can use this patch to remove the CD-ROM check, you must first
perform a "Full Installation" of Starfleet Command. However, you don't have
to install the Introductory Movie files or the Mplayer files which will save
you about 50MB of hard drive space.
Since this "No CD-ROM" patch only applies to version 1.02.01 of STARFLEET.EXE,
you next need to install the v1.02.01 update patch for Starfleet Command from
Interplay. There are two different versions of the v1.02.01 update patch
depending on your current version of Starfleet Command.
You need to download and install either
ftp://ftp.interplay.com/pub/patches/sfc100-1021.zip or
ftp://ftp.interplay.com/pub/patches/sfc101-1021.zip.
To use this patcher program, SFC_NOCD.COM, place it in the same directory
where STARFLEET.EXE is located and run SFC_NOCD.COM. STARFLEET.EXE will
be patched and will now bypass the CD-ROM check when run.
